Delete Your Account
ShelfScout โ Account Deletion
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. We make it easy โ you can do it directly in the app or by emailing us.
Option 1: Delete from the App

Open ShelfScout and tap the Profile tab (bottom right)

Scroll down and tap Delete Account

Confirm the deletion when prompted

Your account and personal data will be permanently removed
Option 2: Email Us
If you're unable to delete your account through the app, send an email to support@shelfscout.us with the subject line "Delete My Account" from the email address associated with your ShelfScout account. We will process your request within 48 hours.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your email address and account credentials
- Your zip code and store preferences
- Your points balance and achievement history
- Your watchlist items
- Your referral code and referral history
What May Be Retained
To maintain the integrity of the community price database, the following may be retained in anonymized form:
- Price scans you submitted (disassociated from your identity)
- Inventory status reports (disassociated from your identity)
This anonymized data cannot be traced back to you after account deletion.
This action is permanent. Account deletion cannot be undone. All points, achievements, and watchlist data will be lost. If you create a new account later, you will start fresh.
